About me

Raised in small town in Maine, I had never heard of sociology until I went to college. I graduated from Ithaca College in 2020, where I studied sociology and Spanish. Recently, I obtained my MA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University at Albany, SUNY. Presently, I am a fourth-year PhD student at UAlbany in the Department of Sociology, where I also serve as a graduate student instructor.

My current research focuses on transgender individuals and their experiences in sport, with a particular focus on trans youth and young people.
